Initial Assessment & Reassessment

At Sunpetal, we believe in a family-focused approach. We value family involvement and collaborate with parents during goal setting and throughout therapy to ensure progress continues at home and beyond. Parents are encouraged to join therapy sessions when possible and weekly progress meetings will be scheduled with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

1:1 ABA Therapy

At Sunpetal, our play-based ABA therapy approach focuses on following each child’s interests and teaching skills through play. We use play to teach a variety of skills including communication, social, and adaptive skills. Each child will be paired with a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who will work with them on their current goals.

How to get started

Step 1: Contact Us

Once your child has received an autism diagnosis, contact us to determine if Sunpetal is the right fit for your child.

Step 2: Insurance

We will review insurance coverage or options for private pay or single case agreements.

Step 3: Approval for Initial Evaluation

If you wish to move forward, we will work with your insurance provider to get approval for an initial evaluation. We will also gather intake documents at this time.

Step 4: Initial Evaluation

We will schedule an initial evaluation to assess your childs skills and needs. This will take place at our center.

Step 5: Creating a Therapy Plan

Once the initial evolution is complete, we will work to complete a therapy plan for your child based on your goals and initial assessment data.

Step 6: Begin Services

Play-based ABA therapy begins! We will work with your family to create a schedule that works for you.
